Avengers: Endgame is almost here, and to help you get hyped we’ve gathered together every trailer and TV spot released so far all in one place. Taking place in the wake of Avengers: Infinity War’s devastation, Endgame’s plot is one of the most fiercely protected secrets in recent cinematic history, and the trailers have been understandably reserved - showing little of the action in store. However, they’ve nonetheless done an effective job of conveying that Endgame is the culmination of more than a decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There have been 21 previous MCU movies, including recent release Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame will mark the end of Phase Three of the MCU - which began back in 2016 with Captain America: Civil War. That was the movie that split the Avengers down the middle, driving a wedge between Captain America and Iron Man that has yet to be resolved. Endgame will see the two old friends finally reunited in a second attempt to defeat Thanos.
Can the Avengers bring back their fallen superhero friends and restore the trillions of lives in the universe that were destroyed by Thanos? Well, yes, they probably can. But how they go about doing that, and what the cost will be, remains to be seen. Whether you’re searching for clues or just looking for something to pass the time until the movie’s release, here’s every trailer, TV spot, and clip from Avengers: Endgame released so far.
Avengers: Endgame Official Trailer #1
The somber first trailer for Avengers: Endgame opens with an extended clip of Tony Stark, drifting in space and leaving what he believes will be his final message for Pepper Potts in a recording on his mask. Tony and Nebula were the only superheroes on Titan who didn’t turn to dust after the snap, and when Endgame begins they are stranded in space on the Guardians of the Galaxy’s ship, the Milano.
Avengers: Endgame’s Official Trailer #2
The second full-length official trailer for Avengers: Endgame is best dubbed the “whatever it takes” trailer, since that’s the line spoken by different members of the Avengers as they prepare to do, well, whatever it takes to get their friends back and put the world right again. This trailer is partially comprised of footage from previous movies in the MCU, but not quite as much as the final full-length trailer for Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame “To The End” Trailer
As mentioned, the plot of Avengers: Endgame is being kept tightly under wraps and as such there’s a lot that’s being deliberately kept out of the trailers. Moreover, what is in the trailers cannot be fully trusted, as directors Anthony and Joe Russo have admitted that some scenes have been digitally altered to avoid spoilers. To get around this issue, the “To The End” trailer largely forgoes footage from Endgame in favor of showing footage from every other MCU movie so far - though stick around to the end for a few new clips.
Avengers: Endgame Big Game TV Spot
The Avengers weren’t about to sit out the biggest game of the year, and celebrated the Super Bowl with the release of this 30-second TV spot for Avengers: Endgame. It was at this point in the marketing that the tone of the trailers had really started to turn from one of despair and mourning to one of defiance of determination, with Cap declaring, “Some people move on. But not us.”
Avengers: Endgame Clip
This clip from Avengers: Endgame sees the team laying out a plan to undo what Thanos did by stealing the Infinity Gauntlet from him and simply reversing the snap (which is how Nebula fixed things in the Infinity Gauntlet comic arc). It also sees new recruit Captain Marvel butt heads with Rhodey and get sized up by Thor - who, after a staredown, decides that he approves of her.
Avengers: Endgame “We Lost” Featurette
This is another promo that’s largely packed with footage from a previous movie (Avengers: Infinity War) rather than footage from Avengers: Endgame, and what footage it does have is taken from the other trailers. However, the featurette does offer insight from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, as well as the Avengers cast, into what the characters (and the fans) went through and the hope for things to be built back up after their destruction.
Avengers: Endgame Special Look Trailer
This Avengers:Endgame promo is officially dubbed “special look,” but it’s really a minute-long trailer (or extended TV spot). This has a lot of great moments in it - from Rocket and Nebula holding hands, to Hawkeye showing off his mid-life crisis tattoo. We also finally get to see the Avengers assembled, with Tony and Steve in the same room, for the first time in a while.
Avengers: Endgame “Honor” TV Spot
The first of the Avengers: Endgame TV spots is titled “Honor,” and is largely comprised of footage we’ve seen in other trailers, along with footage from previous MCU movies. This TV spot emphasizes the fact that the Avengers have “a chance to take it all back,” once again reiterating the mantra of “whatever it takes.”
Avengers: Endgame “Mission” TV Spot
The Avengers: Endgame “Mission” TV spot reminds us that while Tony may build everything, pay for everything, and make everyone look cooler, Captain America is still the boss. In this promo, Steve tells everyone their missions and gives them a little pep talk before they set out to save the universe.
Avengers: Endgame “No Mistakes, Kids” TV Spot
Int his short TV spot, Rocket does a tally of which superheroes onboard the Milano haven’t been to space: Cap, Black Widow, and Rhodey. Meanwhile, Captain Marvel and Thor are both old hands, and look quite relaxed about the whole affair. It’s interesting to also note who isn’t on the ship in this scene, indicating that the Avengers split up into two or more teams.
Avengers: Endgame “Awesome” TV Spot
Hawkeye wasn’t part of Avengers: Infinity War on account of being on house arrest, but we get to see him and his old friend Black Widow back in action in Avengers: Endgame’s “Awesome” TV spot. Rhodey also gets a bit of payback for Ant-Man for their showdown in Civil War, mockingly calling him “regular-sized man.”
