Here are all the actors who cameo in Bad Boys for Life alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. After nearly two decades since the last film, the Bad Boys franchise returned in a big way at the start of the year. Bad Boys 3 took years of development and changes, but a new chapter has finally been added a new chapter to this series - and an impressive one at that.
The sequel picks up several years after the events of Bad Boys 2 as Smith’s Mike Lowrey and Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett are still active detectives in Miami, Florida. Following a death scare, Mike wants to find the people responsible for almost killing him, while Marcus is finally ready to try retirement. This new entry is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who managed to give Bad Boys for Life a needed update that improves on the template established by Michael Bay many years ago.
Their vision helped Bad Boys 3 get the best reviews of the franchise, but audiences around the world have also flocked to see the continuation of this story. With a box office haul of over $370 million worldwide, Bad Boys for Life is one of 2020’s early surprise hits. Much of the attention has gone to Smith and Lawrence’s returns or some of the standout new additions to the series, but there are also several cameos audiences may have missed. So, here are all the cameos that the movie contains.
Michael Bay
Since Bay is no longer directing the Bad Boys franchise, he managed to get in front of the camera in Bad Boys for Life. He appears as a wedding MC and introduces Mike for his toast. It is a quick cameo for Bay but one that is impossible to miss for those who recognize the popular director. This isn’t Bay’s first cameo in the Bad Boys series though, which has left fans wondering if this is the same character who Mike and Marcus stole a car from in Bad Boys II.
DJ Khaled
Another prominent cameo that Bad Boys 3 includes is that of rapper DJ Khaled. The appearance of Khaled wasn’t a surprise to those who closely followed the film’s production, as Khaled revealed he had a role in 2018. Now, viewers get to see Khaled play Manny, a butcher who used to be plugged into the crime scene in Miami. This is actually the first movie role for Khaled where he doesn’t play himself.
Megan & Reggie
Two cameos that all audiences might not catch are the returns of Megan Burnett and Reggie. Bianca Bethune returns to the role that marked her first acting gig to play the daughter of Marcus, who has now grown up. Meanwhile, Dennis Greene returns to the franchise as Reggie, the boy who wanted to take Megan out for a date in Bad Boys 2. This relationship truly blossomed, as Bad Boys 3 shows the birth of their first child together and their wedding ceremony a few months later. Maybe they’ll both return again in Bad Boys 4.
The Directors
In terms of cameos that most audiences likely missed, Arbi and Fallah also had small appearances in their film. Fallah is credited as a man named Fael, who is the man that Rita (Paola Nuñez) flirts with in the club. Even though he is the director of the film, Fael is still rejected by Rita. As for Arbi, his cameo comes as the rideshare driver whose vehicle Mike and Marcus commandeer. Both cameos are rather quick, but viewers can now be on the lookout for the up-and-coming directors during Bad Boys for Life rewatches in the future.
