Fans are getting pretty excited for the upcoming return of Rick & Morty for its long-awaited fourth season, especially after the recent release of a new teaser hyping the debut in November. As the teaser revealed, Rick and Morty’s dimension-hopping adventures are set to continue with new dimensions and tons of disposable allies!

Rick and Morty have traveled to a number of dimensions already throughout three seasons of the series, and while some feature slightly alternate versions of Rick and Morty’s home dimensions, others are wildly different. So today we are going to take a look at a few of the craziest dimensions they have traveled to over the last few years to determine which dimension is the craziest!

WASTELAND

Rick and Morty often explores and homages various pop culture works in the series, which isn’t surprising considering the main characters were inspired by Doc and Marty from Back To The Future. So when our favorite dysfunctional adventurers teased plans for a Mad Max-esque adventure, fans were definitely excited.

The third season’s “Rickmancing the Stone” took Rick, Summer, and Morty to the Wasteland, a post-apocalyptic dimension where they met and joined with the Death Stalkers. Morty and Summer largely spent the episode unhealthily dealing with their parent’s divorce, and the Wasteland was the perfect setting to work through some rage.

DOG DIMENSION

While we haven’t seen much of Dog World Dog Dimension since the first season’s “Lawnmower Dog” that saw the Smith’s pet dog gain advanced intelligence and a robot body, which he then created for other dogs to build an intelligent and powerful dog army.

Those intelligent canines decided to establish their own world in another dimension, with Rick remarking that sounded like a show he would watch. A lot of the themes and ideas for “Lawnmower Dog” (and the Rick and Morty theme song) came from an earlier Justin Roiland project called Dog World that never made it off the ground.

TOILET DIMENSION

The Dog Dimension was shown again in a recent teaser for Rick and Morty’s fourth season. The teaser featured Rick, Morty, and Summer as they moved across dimensions looking for an acceptable/normal toilet for Summer to use while on an adventure.

When the hydrants of the Dog Dimension didn’t meet her standards, the next dimension featured a horrifying world of sentient toilets. And in place of toilets was a man crouched on the floor with his arms held up in a circle, simulating a toilet seat. This could very well be the worst dimension ever for human beings.

FURNITURE/PIZZA/PHONE WORLDS

Toilet World is not the only dimension we’ve seen that reimagines humanity’s place in the overall makeup of the world. For instance, in the first season episode “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind,” Rick and Morty encounter three separate but similar dimensions that turned everything on its head.

While running from the Council of Ricks, Rick and Morty pass through a number of dimensions that we’ll be discussing today. The three similar worlds are the Furniture/Pizza/Phone worlds, which had sentient versions of each ordering the other while sitting on the other. “I’d like to order one large sofa chair, with extra chair please.”

NEW CRONENBERG WORLD

Technically “New Cronenberg World” is actually Rick and Morty’s original Dimension C-137. They appeared in that dimension starting with the first episode up until “Rick Potion #9” when they were forced to escape to an alternate but similar dimension. They abandoned their previous dimension after Rick Cronenberg’ed up their entire world with a faulty series of potions and antidotes.

Since the original love potion was keyed to Morty’s DNA, the rest of the Smith’s were left un-Cronenberged, and as shown in “The Rickshank Redemption” had devolved into a bestial state. The finale of “Rick Potion #9” also revealed that there is an original Cronenberg World that has been “horribly” mutated into regular humans, as Cronenberg versions of Rick and Morty soon arrive in Dimension C-137.

FROOPYLAND

So technically, Froopyland is an artificially-created world and not a dimension, but it’s messed up so we are going to talk about it. As revealed in “The ABC’s of Beth” Rick (and other Rick’s across the multiverse) created a safe place for Beth called Froopyland that was filled with rainbow rivers and cuddly creatures.

Unfortunately, the episode also revealed that Beth was a bit of a scary child, and Froopyland was created to protect the neighborhood from her. However, she brought her friend Tommy into Froopyland and left him there for years. He survived by procreating with the creatures there and then eating them and repeating the cycle for years. Froopyland is beautiful but tainted.

TESTICLE MONSTER WORLD

During the first season finale “Ricksy Business” Rick, Morty, and Summer throw a party while Jerry and Beth are away at a Titanic re-enactment. The epic party gets predictably out-of-control and the entire house gets transported into another dimension, which has been most commonly known as the Testicle Monster Dimension.

While they find the potent Kalaxian Crystals in this dimension, they also discover it is populated with giant, well, Testicle Monsters that vaguely resemble male genitalia. However, it is soon revealed that these creatures also feature other sexual organs, as horribly discovered by confused hybrid Abrodolf Lincler and a party guest who is enjoying himself too much.

GREASY GRANDMA WORLD

We know very little about Greasy Grandma World, but really, the name pretty much says it all. As seen in “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind” during Rick and Morty’s escape from the Council of Ricks, Greasy Grandma World featured a planet full of greased-up grandmas.

Rick and Morty don’t spend much time sliding around in there, but the time they do spend is very unsettling. The greased-up grandmas have erected a helpful sign welcoming travelers to Greasy Grandma World, even though they don’t seem to react to Rick and Morty as they pass through. This world was a weird one.

HAMSTER-IN-BUTT WORLD

Speaking of weird, let’s talk about the first season episode “Rixty Minutes,” which explored multiversal cable in true Rick and Morty fashion. One of the TV programs showcased an odd world that seemed to feature a wolf dull of hamsters who lived in human’s butts.

This world captivated the Smith family, who was so intrigued by how that dimension developed that Rick took the whole family on vacation there. While Rick didn’t seem thrilled about it the family learned a lot about Hamster-In-Butt world, including that the inside of humans looked like little hamster apartments.

BUTTWORLD

Speaking of butts, as Rick and Morty often does, the craziest dimension the show has ever visited or conceived also happens to sit firmly within the comedic wheelhouse of the series. The appropriately named Buttworld first appeared in “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind,” and this dimension even made Rick and Morty do a double-take.

Buttworld appears to be made up of giant butts, and everything associated with butts, like toilet paper trees and a ground covered in fecal matter. Hills of butts spew noxious farts, and as revealed in an Adult Swim short that saw Morty caught in one of those fart plumes as Rick revealed that Buttworld was in his top five favorite dimensions. Well, Rick, it’s our number one with a big farty bullet.
