Mortal Kombat 11 is one day away, and fans are salivating over the game’s many new and brutal fatalities. Despite the close release date, though, fans who are eager to get a glimpse at the game’s many ways to finish downed opponents have the ability to take a glimpse at nearly all of the characters’ fatalities thanks to a combination of unofficial leaks, gameplay reveals, and Mortal Kombat 11 trailers.
Nearly all of the fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11 have been circulated already, but there are still some mysteries waiting for players who acquire the game on April 23. Most fighters have at least one finisher revealed, but that doesn’t mean their entire repertoire is available online just yet. That does mean that we’ll get a few surprises when the game releases tomorrow, including a new fatality for characters like D’Vorah and Erron Black, the latter of which was one of the earliest major character leaks to surface during the build-up to Mortal Kombat 11’s launch.
Naturally, this compilation is heavy on spoilers for Mortal Kombat 11, both in terms of the surprise fatalities for characters as well as the existence of Mortal Kombat 11 roster members themselves. Mortal Kombat 11 releases tomorrow, so if fans have been trying their best to avoid any major reveals, they’ll want to give this list a miss; otherwise, enjoy a deep dive on the many ways in which Mortal Kombat 11’s fighters can meet their grisly end in-game.

If there’s anything to be taken away from all of the Mortal Kombat 11 fatalities we’ve seen so far, it’s that developer NetherRealm Studios may never run out of ideas for over-the-top methods of executing its own creations. Just when it feels like the series has reached its peak level of absurdity, the next iteration surpasses what we used to believe were the limits of that campy, grisly thought process. There are a number of highlights in the videos, ranging from grotesque body horror to absurd, humorous takes (thanks, Johnny Cage).
Ultimately, though, Mortal Kombat 11 fatalities are a return to what’s made the game such an enduring element of pop culture. Videos like these, which circulate everywhere and generate a positive buzz in the fighting game community, are also important in keeping the game relevant far after its release. Mortal Kombat 11 might be struggling to keep its microtransaction system out of the spotlight when it comes to negative reactions, but nearly everything else has been a (face)smashing hit that fans can’t wait to get their hands on tomorrow on April 23, 2019, when the game releases for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
