Next year is shaping up to be an amazing year for big movie releases, and this month has been an amazing month for some of those movies’ trailers. A new trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie revealed the character’s redesign, and fans got a sneak peek into Jordan Peele’s upcoming Nazi hunters drama, Hunters. But there’s even more good news to come.
Trailers for Birds of Prey, No Time to Die, Black Widow and Wonder Woman 1984, four of the most anticipated movies coming in 2020, are all due to drop next week according to Twitter scooper Daniel Richtman. Though nothing has been confirmed, the move makes sense. December will see the release of some hard-hitters like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Jumanji: The Next Level and Cats, giving studios plenty of room to generate even more excitement for what’s to come among cinema-goers.
With so much going on, it can be a little hard to keep up with all the movie news sometimes, however exciting the news might be. So, just in case you need a refresh on where everything is at with these movies, here’s a breakdown of what we can expect from these upcoming movie trailers.
Birds of Prey Trailer 2
Birds of Prey already gave fans a taste of what awaits Harley Quinn when the first trailer was released back in October. The violent and absurd, according to Margot Robbie herself, account of Harley Quinn’s emancipation looked visually stunning. A second trailer might give fans a deeper insight into Harley’s journey and hopefully a better look at the Birds of Prey. Directed by Cathy Yan, Birds of Prey is due out on February 7, 2020.
No Time to Die/Bond 25 Teaser Trailer
The 25th film in the Bond franchise has already been fraught with controversy despite the fact that no actual film footage has been released yet. The trailer might finally settle (or at least hint at) whether or not Lashana Lynch, who played Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel, will be taking over as the new 007 once Daniel Craig retires. It might also shine some light on what kind of villain Rami Malek will be. No Time to Die is out on April 3, 2020.
Black Widow Teaser Trailer
Black Widow is the first film in the MCU’s much-anticipated Phase 4 and buzz surrounding it is at an all-time high. A trailer might finally provide some clues as to who plays villain Taskmaster (could it be Rachel Weisz?) and give fans their first look of David Harbour as Russia’s own Captain America, Red Guardian. Black Widow will hit cinemas on May 1, 2020.
Wonder Woman 1984 Teaser Trailer
Gal Gadot will be reprising the role of Wonder Woman in summer 2020. The second Wonder Woman movie was supposed to be released way earlier, so there’s plenty of anticipation ahead of June 5 2020, when it’s set to actually hit theaters. Kristen Wiig will be playing Cheetah, and fans are hoping the trailer will give them at least a glimpse of a face-off between the villain and Diana, and a closer look at Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord.
