Disney+ is adding a new wave of content this month, with new episodes of its original series (including the season finale of one), a new movie exclusive to the platform, a unique type of cooking show, and a long list of licensed content. The streaming wars continue and the world of streaming is preparing for the arrival of more platforms this year, but in the meantime, Disney+ keeps expanding its catalogue with more movies and TV shows each month.

February saw the arrival of classics like Around The World In 80 Days and Splash, as well as the anticipated return of the coming-of-age comedy The Sandlot. Disney+ also welcomed more recent content with Descendants 3 and Toy Story 4, and added a good dose of Marvel content with Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United, Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri and Playing With Fire, and the anime series Marvel Future Avengers. As for original content, the platform added more episodes of some of its exclusive series and the original movie Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.

March will continue bringing new episodes of original series, along with a brand new movie, more National Geographic content (though significantly less than in previous months), and a lot of movies, including some that arrived in the Fox package. Here’s everything new to Disney+ in March 2020.

National Geographic

Disney+’s National Geographic catalogue keeps expanding, but it’s taking it easy this month. February welcomed the first two seasons of the reality TV series Wicked Tuna, which follows commercial tuna fishermen based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and who fish for the lucrative Atlantic bluefin tuna in the North Atlantic Ocean. To continue the exploration of one of America’s oldest industries (as well as the issue surrounding the fate of the bluefin tuna), Disney+ is adding seasons 3 to 8 of Wicked Tuna, along with all six seasons of the spinoff Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, which follows the same premise except that it’s set in the Outer Banks (of course!).

New Titles On Disney+

Perhaps the most attractive thing about Disney+ is its catalogue of movies, which also includes various Fox properties – as long as they are family friendly. This month, the platform is adding two titles from the Fox package: the comedy Dr. Dolittle 2 (yes, the one with Eddie Murphy as the title character) and the animated movie Ice Age. Other movies that will be available to stream are the fantasy comedy Bedtime Stories, the action thriller The Finest Hours, and the infamous fantasy adventure movie with talking guinea pigs, G-Force. Your dose of nostalgia will arrive with “Three on the Run”, an episode of The Wonderful World of Disney that follows two young brothers who form an unlikely team of dogs so they can compete in a prestigious local sled team race, and with season 1 of Zorro - Second Series.

Not everything will be movies from the past – there will also be more recent releases with the sci-fi adventure movie A Wrinkle In Time and Marvel’s Black Panther. Last but not least, and because Disney+ is doing its best to bring as much family friendly content as possible (whatever that means to them), it’s also adding content for younger audiences: season 2 of Playtime with Puppy Dog Pals: Puppy Playcare and season 2 of Vampirina Ghoul Girls Rock!.

Big Hero 6 The Series (season 2)

Marvel content on Disney+ is taking a break after adding a good number of series and TV specials these last months. Aside from Black Panther, the only Marvel title joining the fun this month is season 2 of Big Hero 6: The Series. Based on the 2014 animated movie Big Hero 6, the series serves as a sequel as it takes place after the events of the movie, and instead of 3D animation, it went back to basics with a traditional hand-drawn style. Big Hero 6: The Series has already been renewed for a third season, but in the meantime, you can enjoy this one.

I Didn’t Do It (seasons 1-2)

Disney Channel’s comedy series I Didn’t Do It follows brother-sister twins Lindy and Logan Watson (Olivia Holt and Austin North) and their three best friends – Jasmine, Garrett, and Delia – on their freshman year of high school. The series’ particularity is that each episode starts at the end, with the group in a “what just happened” situation and attempting to explain exactly what happened through flashbacks. I Didn’t Do It had a short life of only two seasons, and both will be available to stream.

New Episodes Of Disney+ Original Series

Unlike other streaming platforms, Disney+ is releasing one episode at a time of its original series, so this month will have new episodes of shows that have already premiered. Diary of a Future President will have its final three episodes, and Star Wars fans will continue enjoying season 7 of The Clone Wars. Subscribers will also get to enjoy new stories from Marvel’s Hero Project, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney Family Sundays, Shop Class, and One Day At Disney.

Stargirl

Stargirl is an original Disney+ movie directed by Julia Hart and based on the novel of the same name by Jerry Spinelli. Stargirl is a coming-of-age story that follows Leo Borlock (Graham Verchere), a shy teen who finds himself inexplicably drawn to Susan “Stargirl” Caraway (Grace VanderWaal), the colorful and offbeat new girl at school whose unconventional ways change how they see themselves and their world. Stargirl is a celebration of individuality, kindness, and the power of the human spirit.

Be Our Chef

This month will see the premiere of a new series on Disney+: Be Our Chef. This one-of-a-kind cooking competition will challenge food-loving families to create delicious dishes inspired by various Disney characters. The grand prize? Having their very own signature dish or treat served at Walt Disney World. The first episode will be all about Cinderella and the Merrill family going against the Robbins to see who can transform a classic comfort food into a gourmet meal – with a touch of Disney magic, of course.
