Just in time for the 2020 NFL draft starting this evening, April 23rd, ESPN has updated its Apple TV app with the ability to auto play 3 live channels/games simultaneously. ESPN’s most recent update this week for iOS, tvOS, and watchOS only mentions “Bug fixes and optimizations” but the company’s Senior Director of Product shared about the new feature on Twitter. That’s great timing for those who want to watch the NFL draft that starts tonight while keeping an eye on other channels and browsing around....

The European Union is planning a new law to address what it describes as ‘unfair contractual clauses’ following a complaint by Spotify, Deezer and others. While Apple was not specifically named in the complaint, Spotify considers it unfair that Apple takes a 15% cut of in-app subscription purchases, arguing that this makes it less competitive against Apple Music … Reuters reports that the EU plans to address this with new legislation by the end of the year....

Elgato has announced that it is adding five new HomeKit devices to its range of Eve-branded smart home technology. The New York Times: In its statement, Apple said it paid “an enormous amount of taxes” to local, state and federal governments. “In fiscal 2012 we paid $6 billion in federal corporate income taxes, which is 1 out of every 40 dollars in corporate income taxes collected by the U.S. government,” it said.
